6. AR, Camera, and Spatial Data Processing

Placer 3D requires camera and LiDAR access to function.

  • On-Device Processing: Initial spatial mapping occurs locally on your device.
  • Cloud Storage: Only the finalized 3D models you choose to save or share are uploaded to our secure Firebase servers.
  • No Biometrics: We do not use the camera for facial recognition or biometric identification.

7. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active.
  • Sharing Links: Free Mini Share links are deleted after 24 hours. Standard links (PRO) expire after 30 days unless specified otherwise.
  • Deletion: If you delete your account, all associated models and UIDs are purged from our active databases.

8. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share data with:

  • Google Firebase: For cloud hosting and authentication.
  • Apple: For payment processing and identity verification.
  • Legal Authorities: When required by law.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EU/EEA, including Turkey and the USA. We utilize Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
